Security of Appies™

Security of Appies™

First of all, we are not going to claim that Appies™ is "hack proof" nor are we going to say that only a very talented hacker can find a flaw.  The last thing we want is hackers challenging us to see how good they are or perhaps just to prove us wrong.  We can say, however, that we are very comfortable with the security we have built into Appies™, enough to "risk" all of our businesses with the platform.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL).  Appies™ runs only through an SSL connection on a non standard port.  This means any passwords entered or data transferred through Appies™ is secure and encrypted.

SUexec.  The Apache Web server has SUexec compiled in.  This is allows users to run scripts under their own username and does several layers of security checks before running any scripts.

Encrypted keys.  Each user has a unique encrypted key that identifies the user and actions that user can perform. This prevents "spoofing" or a user doing anything to another's account.

 Be Careful...

Attention hackers!  We have installed a timed released biocyber virus that detects hacking activity, releases itself through the monitor and caused a burning/itchy rash on your bottom that lasts for months. So for your own sake, don't even attempt hacking.
